Seven Years Later, Kit Harington Is STILL Defensive Over Season 8 and The Realm Needs Answers

Alright, Emerald City! You know how we bleed for our teams, right? That feeling when a call goes wrong, or a player misses a crucial shot, and it just sticks with you? Well, hold onto your dragons, because seven years later, Kit Harington, our Jon Snow, is STILL feeling "very defensive" about Game of Thrones season 8. Yeah, you heard that right. It's been seven long years since that finale aired on May 19, 2019, and the wounds are clearly still fresh for our guy. It’s like watching a key play get overturned, and everyone’s still arguing about it at T-Mobile Park. The debate over whether that ending aged better than we thought? It’s not over, not by a long shot.

The Daemon Targaryen Takeover Nobody Saw Coming

But hey, while we're still processing that GoT ending, the new season for House of the Dragon is gearing up, and let me tell you, the early season buzz is electric! Matt Smith is out here teasing a Daemon Targaryen who’s "done playing games" in Season 3. Are you kidding me? This is like a star player finally hitting their stride, ready to dominate! And Emma D'Arcy just dropped a "chilling tease" for Rhaenyra's next move. We've even got a first look at new characters and battles for Season 3, setting up what looks like a monumental clash. The new poster? It shows Rhaenyra standing right at the foot of the Iron Throne. You know what that means for the Fall of King's Landing, right? This is the kind of early season form that makes you believe we're going all the way. But keep an eye on the sidelines, because Ser Criston Cole is glaringly absent from that main art. What's the coach's plan there? We need answers!

Duffer Bros Mess With Fans and The Mandalorian Gets "Underwhelmed"

Now, it's not all fire and blood in the fantasy world. Over in Hawkins, the Duffer Brothers admitted they were "f***ing with" Stranger Things fans during their finale. Seriously? Talk about a head coach pulling a trick play just to mess with the 12s. Sometimes you just want a clean game! And speaking of things that didn't quite hit, the early reactions for "The Mandalorian and Grogu" movie have arrived, and folks are feeling a bit "underwhelmed." That's like a highly anticipated prospect coming out and not quite living up to the hype in their first few outings. We’re used to greatness from Mando, so this early trend is something we gotta watch closely. It reminds you that even the biggest stars can have an off day. So, while we reflect on the GoT finale and Kit Harington's continued defense, our eyes are firmly on the horizon. House of the Dragon Season 3 is coming, and with Daemon Targaryen done playing games and Rhaenyra making her moves, the stakes for the Fall of King's Landing are through the roof. You wanna dive deeper? Natalie Zamora and Marq Nettles just broke down all the poster details and what it means for the season on the "Take the Black" podcast. It’s an hour long deep dive into what’s at stake! You know we'll be tuning in, because you gotta know the playbook. Let's go, Westeros!
