Sounders and San Diego Battled to a Draw, and Musovski's Late Strike Kept Seattle in It

The Seattle Sounders fought to a 1-1 tie against San Diego FC on May 9, refusing to go down quietly at home. In a match that came down to one moment of pure desire, Sounders forward Musovski buried a goal in the 80th minute to pull his team level and snatch a point from the jaws of defeat.

Late Drama at the Pitch

San Diego came to play, and for most of the night it looked like they might leave with all three points. But this is exactly when the Sounders showed their character. With the clock ticking and the pressure mounting, Musovski found his moment in the 80th minute and made it count. One strike, and suddenly it was a completely different match. The Emerald City faithful got the result their team fought for when it mattered most.

Where the Sounders Stand Now

This draw keeps Seattle in the hunt and shows they're not going away quietly. In a league where every point matters, especially early in the season, holding onto a result like this against a confident San Diego squad proves the Sounders have the grit to compete night in and night out. The team showed resilience when they needed it, and that kind of mentality wins you matches down the stretch.

The Sounders will look to build on this moment as the season rolls forward. One point feels like a win when you're fighting back late, and that's the kind of performance that can spark a run.
