Alright, Seattle, what's good? Early season vibes are in the air, the cherry blossoms are popping, and we're officially in that glorious window where every sport is either revving up or going full throttle. But even though we're still soaking up all the initial energy, our eyes are already locked on a specific date in the calendar for our Sounders: August 19, 2026. Mark it down, folks, because that's when Seattle Sounders FC goes head-to-head with Austin FC!

Sounders vs. Austin: A Date Etched in Emerald

Yeah, I know, August feels like a lifetime away when we're just getting started. But for those of us who bleed Rave Green, that August 19th clash against Austin FC is already a circled game on the schedule. It's the kind of match that you start mentally preparing for months in advance, imagining the roar of the crowd at Lumen Field. You know our guys, like the recently called-up USMNT talent Cristian Roldan and our homegrown hero Jordan Morris, are always ready to leave it all on the pitch. When that day arrives, we expect nothing less than pure fire. It's not just another game, it's a statement, and we're going to be ready for it!

Across the Leagues: What We're Seeing (While We Wait for More Seattle Love!)

Now, while we're buzzing about our future Sounders showdown, the rest of the sports world is definitely delivering some wild action. We're seeing scores come in from all over. The Braves just smacked the Marlins, 9-3. Over in the American League, the Blue Jays shut out the Yankees 2-0, with Adam Macko grabbing the win. The Guardians took down the Tigers 3-1, and the Pirates beat the Cardinals 6-2. The Mets even pulled off a tight 2-1 win against the Nationals. On the hardwood, the Knicks are rolling, putting up 99 points to the Cavaliers' 85. And on the ice? The Canadiens just edged out the Hurricanes 3-2. Even the Valkyries finished strong against the Liberty, 87-70! It’s a busy sports landscape out there, but let’s be real, we’re itching to see our own Mariners, Kraken, and Seahawks all over those scoreboards, delivering those Ws for the Emerald City. We've got Cal Raleigh and Julio Rodriguez ready to mash for the M's, and guys like Matty Beniers and Jordan Eberle are always primed for the Kraken. And don't even get me started on the Seahawks, with Sam Darnold, Jaxon Smith-Njigba, and Cooper Kupp ready to light up Lumen Field under Coach Mike Macdonald. We know they're out there putting in the work.
