The State Baseball Brackets Are Dropped, and Nobody in the Emerald City Is Ready For This Showdown!

Alright, Seattle sports fanatics, listen up! The Washington Interscholastic Activities Association just ripped open the postseason door, dropping the first-round pairings for the state high school baseball tournament on Sunday. We're talking six classifications, folks, and every single team is now on a mission. The road to a state championship is officially laid out, and the excitement across our state is absolutely off the charts! We've seen some intense action all season, like when Sumner's Landon Meyer was flying to third against Emerald Ridge back in April. Now, it's crunch time.

Where the Champions Will Be Crowned

First things first, let's talk about where the magic will happen. The WIAA announced the championship venues, and they're spread out across some classic spots. For Class 4A and 3A, the biggest schools in the state will battle it out in the semifinals and finals on May 29-30, right there at Everett Memorial Stadium. You know that place is going to be rocking! Then, the Class 2A and 1A heavyweights are heading north to Joe Martin Stadium in Bellingham for their final showdowns. And for the 1B and 2B classes, those smaller school powerhouses will be swinging for the fences at Wood Field at Carlon Park in Selah. We don't have the exact game times or locations for the first round yet, but trust, you'll want to mark May 29-30 on your calendars!
