The Heavy Hitters: 4A and 3A Set for Everett Showdowns

First off, let's talk about the big leagues of high school ball: Class 4A and 3A. Those state semifinals and finals are locked in for May 29-30 at Everett Memorial Stadium, a proper stage for a championship clash. In Class 4A, top seed Richland squares off against No. 16 Skyline. That's a classic top-seed challenge, and Skyline won't back down. Our own No. 2 Sumner, with Landon Meyer making noise on the basepaths earlier, is set to go toe-to-toe with No. 15 Moses Lake. You know Sumner is hungry! Tahoma, the No. 3 seed, has a date with No. 14 Lake Washington. Every game in this bracket is a grinder, with Gonzaga Prep, Kamiakin, and Glacier Peak also ready to upset the apple cart. Over in Class 3A, it's wild even before the first pitch, with play-in winners still needing to emerge. Top seed Mount Vernon awaits the victor of Kelso versus Eastside Catholic. Gig Harbor, the No. 3 seed, faces the winner of Liberty and White River. Then there's O'Dea, the No. 7 seed, set to battle No. 10 Mountain View. It's pure madness, and we love it!

Small School Sizzlers and Northbound Battles

Don't sleep on the action in other classifications either! Class 2A and 1A are heading north for their state semifinals and finals at Joe Martin Stadium in Bellingham. Imagine the atmosphere up there! No. 1 Bainbridge kicks off their 2A campaign against No. 16 Pullman, while No. 3 Othello faces No. 14 Chief Sealth. Serious contenders and underdog stories wait. For Class 1A, Montesano holds the top spot, ready for No. 16 Royal, and Lynden Christian, the No. 3 seed, challenges No. 14 Naches Valley. Further east, 1B and 2B action culminates at Wood Field at Carlon Park in Selah, bringing intense small-school showdowns. Tri-Cities Prep is the No. 1 seed in 2B, taking on Orcas Island, and No. 5 Adna has a tough draw against No. 12 River View. In 1B, No. 1 Liberty Christian waits for the winner of Northwest Christian and Wahkiakum, while No. 2 Naselle eyes the winner of Sunnyside Christian and Crosspoint Christian. This whole state is about to explode with high school baseball! Seriously, folks, the tension is already building. While we're still waiting for exact game dates, times, and locations for these first-round matchups, just knowing these pairings is enough to get us hyped. Every team is fighting for their season, for their shot at a state title, and for bragging rights. Keep those eyes peeled for updates on when your favorite teams play, because these kids are about to lay it all on the line. It's going to be an epic ride, Seattle, so let's get ready to cheer on our local talent and watch some incredible baseball!
