York Sends Flyers Past Penguins in OT, and the Second Round Bracket Just Got Interesting

The Flyers are moving on. York buried it in overtime to eliminate Pittsburgh and punch Philadelphia's ticket to the second round, setting up a matchup with the Hurricanes. This is playoff hockey at its most brutal: one goal ends your season, and the Penguins' run just stopped.

The Overtime Moment That Ended It

Game 6 came down to exactly what the playoffs demand. York stepped up when it mattered most and sent the Flyers through with an overtime goal. That's the kind of moment that defines a player's playoff resume. Pittsburgh fought hard enough to push it to six games, but in the end, they couldn't close it out at home.

What's Next for Philadelphia

The Flyers will face the Hurricanes in the second round. Carolina is waiting, and both teams are hungry. This is where the bracket starts to take shape, where the real depth gets tested, and where every roster decision made in the off-season either looks brilliant or comes back to haunt you.

The Stanley Cup Playoffs move fast. One day you're celebrating advancing to the next round, the next day you're preparing for a completely different opponent with a different style and different problems to solve. The Flyers earned their spot. Now they have to prove they belong in the second round against a Hurricanes team that's also moving forward with their own momentum.
