Zegras Is Firing Power Play Bombs and the Penguins Are One Loss From Elimination

The Philadelphia Flyers just took Game 3 of their first round matchup against Pittsburgh, and they're sitting on a 3-0 series lead. That's right, the Penguins are on the brink. Zegras absolutely ripped a beautiful one-timer on the power play to light the lamp, and it's the kind of moment that defines playoff hockey. The Flyers scored three goals in the second period alone, and that's when you know things got out of hand fast.

The Flyers' Second Period Was a Masterclass

Pittsburgh came into Game 3 hoping to make a statement, but Philadelphia had other plans. The second period was brutal for the Penguins. Seeler extended the lead with a beautiful snap shot, adding to the damage. Earlier, Rust and Malkin teamed up for an opening power play goal, but it wasn't enough to slow down what became a completely dominant stretch for the Flyers. Three goals in 20 minutes of hockey is the kind of run that puts a team on life support.

Pittsburgh's Season Is Hanging by a Thread

When you're down 3-0 in a best-of-seven series, the math gets dark real fast. The Penguins need to find a way to respond immediately or they're heading home. There's no tomorrow in this situation. Every shift in Game 4 becomes a must-win, and the pressure on this team is now suffocating. The Flyers showed they can score in bunches, and Pittsburgh's defense couldn't contain them when it mattered most.

The next game will tell you everything about whether the Penguins can mount any kind of comeback or if this series is already decided. In the playoffs, momentum is everything, and right now, Philly has all of it.
